About OneBio

The bio box is the hardest hundred characters on the internet. Every app hands you a different tiny field, a different character limit, and no idea what to put in it. OneBio exists to make that box less annoying — one place for every bio you need, whether it's going on Instagram, a dating app, LinkedIn, or a byline.

What's actually here

The bio generator is a static phrase-bank combinator — not a live AI call. Pick a platform and a tone, and it assembles a bio from hand-written fragments, entirely in your browser. There's currently 121,723 possible combinations across seven platforms and their tones, a real number we track in code, not a marketing round-up. No login, no rate limit, nothing sent to a server.

Alongside the tool, the guides are written for specific, real questions — how to write an Instagram bio, what a Hinge prompt answer that gets replies looks like, how to add a link to your TikTok bio — the kind of thing you'd otherwise dig through five bad listicles to find.

Why it's built this way

A lot of "AI bio generator" tools are a thin wrapper around a live model call, which means the operator eats a cost every time someone clicks generate. OneBio's generator is deliberately the opposite: a curated, hand-reviewed dataset that costs nothing to run at any scale. That's also why it's free with no account required — there's no per-use cost to recover.

Who's behind it

OneBio is an independently run site, not a venture-backed startup. If something's broken, wrong, or missing, the contact page reaches a real person.
